The name Community DISH is a perfect name,
because although DISH is a national company,
the people who distribute it in Pahrump are a
real part of the community. Willam Barney
originally worked for a similar business in
Utah, but one day decided to investigate the
business climate in Pahrump.“When DISH
opened up networks on satellite my wife an I
came here to see the response. It turned out
to be good.” It was 2002-2003.
His wife Debbie Barney explained that
although their main business is the DISH
satellite TV system, they also o er related
services such as internet connection and
antennas that receive television signals over
the air.
Debbie explained that when they initially
came to Nevada, “At rst we set up in a park-
ing lot to see what the response would be for
DISH subscriptions. They we came across a
gentleman who said he lived in Pahrump, and
that he would sign up for service we came up
there. So we did. And we had a great response.
The service was de nitely needed out here,
there were not many choices at that time as
far as TV was concerned.”
DISH service is available across the United
States and a spokesman says that it has the
best TV service with nationwide availability,
with customers in every Zip Code and prod-
ucts installed by highly-skilled technicians. The
spokesman says, people “should not settle for
inferior cable TV that might not be available if
they need to move. With DISH, people can rest

Debbie Barney added, “People are friendly in
Pahrump, oh yeah! We like the small town
atmosphere. Of course it was much smaller,
but it’s still a small town. Once you are here,
the winters are wonderful, and we like the
climate, even if the summers are hot.”
She added, “We do the installation. We also do
Google Nest products — Smart Home prod-
ucts and home automation systems, with
doorbell cameras, home technology with
voice control where you can ask questions and
it gives answers. It has Google Maps, today’s
news, PlayStore downloads and more.”
